OUR STORY

Two People, One Van, and a Plan

Marvelous Plumbing was founded in 2023 after years of experience in plumbing service and repair, and a foundation in new construction projects.

“We started Marvelous Plumbing because we always dreamed of building a better future for our children than what we had growing up.

Gilbert is a great plumber and really enjoys helping people, and I knew a little bit about running a business, so I encouraged him to make his passion a business, and that’s how Marvelous started.

Some of our team is family, and the ones that aren’t still feel like they are. Our team is made up of a group of people we trust around our family, and that says a lot when they are going into our customers’ houses and helping them.”

-Bianca Rios, Co-Owner, Marvelous Plumbing

CHOOSING THE RIGHT LOCAL PLUMBING COMPANY

What "Licensed, Bonded, and Insured" Actually Means

The Marvelous Plumbing team is completely licensed, bonded, and insured in the state of California. Here’s what that means for you:

  • Licensed: A licensed plumber has passed the state’s exam and holds an active California contractor’s license; ours is Lic# 1119968.
  • Bonded: There’s a bond in place to protect you financially if a job isn’t finished or isn’t done to code.
  • Insured: If something gets damaged while we’re working, you’re not responsible for covering the costs.

Choosing a licensed, bonded, and insured plumber matters because you’re covered if something goes wrong. With unlicensed plumbers, there’s no board to file a complaint with or an insurance policy to cover damages. It’s the difference between a trustworthy job and a potentially costly mistake.

Frequently Asked Questions

Licensed means the contractor has passed state-required exams and holds a valid California C-36 Plumbing Contractor license. Marvelous holds Lic# 1119968, which you can verify at contractors.cslb.ca.gov. Bonded means there’s a surety bond that protects you if work isn’t finished or if something goes wrong. Insured means we carry general liability coverage, so if there’s any property damage during the job, you’re not responsible for the bill. When choosing a plumber you can trust, you should look for all three.

Yes, California requires any plumbing contractor doing work over $500 (which combines parts and labor) to hold a valid C-36 license issued by the California Contractors State License Board (CSLB).

They protect different things. A bond is a guarantee: If a contractor doesn’t finish the job or causes financial harm, the bond covers your losses. Insurance (specifically general liability) covers physical damage or injury that happens during the work. A contractor who’s only insured but not bonded — or vice versa — isn’t fully covered. We carry both, so both you and your property are protected.

We opened in 2023 out of a desire to help our community and do plumbing differently. We don’t believe in upselling or overcharging, and no plumbing job is too big or too small. Our family-run, locally-owned business has grown entirely through word-of-mouth and referrals from our happy customers, and we’re proud of the 5-star reputation we’ve built since day one.

Yes, we offer financing for eligible projects. If a larger repair or replacement is more than you want to pay out of pocket right now, give us a call, and we can walk you through your options.
